E Funk

E Funk Licks is a free rock guitar lesson by Peter Vogl that covers several licks that we can be played over a funky one chord vamp in the key of E. In the video we will use the backing track "Funk in E", which is track 10 from the Let's Jam! Blues and Rock CD. This lesson will give you three licks to learn. There are many approaches you could take when only one chord is being played. You could use the E minor Pentatonic Scale, E Major Pentatonic, the E Blues Scale, E Bebop licks, or the E Mixolydian scale. Remember to use chord shapes or arpeggios as well.
