Zager ZAD-80 EZ-Play Guitar Review

Jody Worrell reviews the Zager EZ-Play ZAD80 Acoustic Guitar. We’ll discuss the construction, playability, and highlights of this guitar. You can watch the video to hear the ZAD80 in action.

Construction: Spruce top with beautiful abalone binding. 3 piece rosewood back with great looking zipper inlay and rosewood sides. Genuine Grover tuners.

Playability: The EZ-Play in the name is no joke. For someone coming from an electric guitar, this will be an easy transition. Consistent low action up and down the neck. This guitar achieve it’s playability from setup and not from relying on extra light strings.

Tone: Not a boatload of low end like you would find from a dreadnaught guitar designed for Bluegrass. But the low end is in sync with the high end. The guitar does a really good job for basic strumming. It has a compact and together sound for playing rhythm. It’s also does well for fingerpicking.

Overall: No reason not to check it out. Zager “offers a true 100% money back guarantee that includes shipping and handling fees both ways…No restocking fees, no hidden charges, no BS.” The workmanship and care really comes through when you’re playing the guitar. This isn’t a guitar straight off an assembly line. It matches up with the quality of much more expensive guitars from the big brands. Get one in your hands and see what you think.

The giveaway contest for this guitar has now closed. Congrats to Earl from Michigan for winning this great acoustic guitar.

I recently purchased “Electric Licks & Solos”. thank you so much for sending me the email that gave me the chance to see and buy it. I have been playing for 40 years and my progress has just crawled along. I don’t read music so this DVD has made me understand so many concepts I have been hearing all these years. I could go on forever but I’ll just say I am having so much fun now! Just one more thing, I can now play along with jam tracks and friends. Thank you so much.

why not Canada, I put a lot of time into this site and some cash from time to time, hey if that’s what you got then why should I bother, I bet my musician friends in Buffalo & California & all over the States will agree with me on this crap.

Adding Canada and other countries is something we’ll certainly consider in future contests. However, this is the first one we’ve done and wanted to keep it simple. We’ll have to research customs, taxes, shipping costs, etc.

I have wanted an acoustic guitar for quite a while now, but being a college student with just a part time job, I’m no where near being able to afford to buy a good one, it would be so awesome to win one of these beautiful guitars!

well at least your looking into it, i’ll bet a lot of Canadian guitarists that follow this site would surely like to be included in opportunities like this, I suspect we all pay to get your online offerings and I am one, you have a good bunch of talent to help us and hope that Canadians can be included or why should we really bother? peace eh.
