Major/Minor Pentatonic Lick is a free guitar lesson by Jody Worrell. You will learn a blues guitar lick that alternates between the major and minor pentatonic scales. The fingering is the same in each position, but as we move it up the neck, you will hear different tonalities with respect to the chord, which is an A7. After learning the lick, we'll practice it along with a backing track and explore how we can use different parts of the lick. To learn more about combined major and minor pentatonic licks, check out the Clapton Style Pentatonic Licks premium lesson.

Clapton Style Pentatonic Licks is a downloadable Quicktime video lesson for blues guitar by Jody Worrell. In this lesson we'll look at combining the major pentatonic and minor pentatonic approaches to blues soloing. One of the greats at this is Eric Clapton, so we're gonna learn five hybrid licks that emulate his style. Included in the download is an .mp3 jam track and a .pdf of the tabs for the lesson.
