This free heavy metal guitar video lesson by Peter Vogl will show you how to play several guitar licks in the key of A. We'll use the A Minor Pentatonic scale to create these licks that use raking and vibrato techniques. We'll also practice these licks over track 8, Rock Vamp in Am, of the Let's Jam! Hard Rock.

Here is the Am Pentatonic Scale.

Here is the tab for our first lick

The second lick is basically the same lick. However, this time we are going to bend the notes up and bring them down.

On Lick 3 we will again use the same notes but this time we will use vibrato instead of the raking technique.

Now practice playing all of the licks over track 8, Rock Vamp in Am, of the Let's Jam! Hard Rock.
